Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is money given to the school which is used in a variety of ways in order to raise pupil attainment of disadvanted pupils of all abilities and help to overcome any barriers to learning. The Department for Education states that: "The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers," (www.gov.uk/guidance/pupil-premium-information-for-schools-and-alternative-provision-settings).

Research from the Sutton Trust shows that good quality provision for Pupil Premium Pupils raises attainment for all pupils, not just those who receive the Pupil Premium funding. The documents on this page detail how we spend this money at our school, the impact this has and our future actions. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to come in and ask us.
